Danger signals

Danger are signs  placed on the right , when the layout of the premises does not allow it, they can be placed above the roadway.

They can be repeated in places where traffic warrants it .

With the exception of the signs below which are placed in the immediate vicinity of the danger, danger signs are placed at an approximate distance of 150 m from the dangerous place.

Dangerous left turn.

Dangerous right turn.

Dangerous turn.
Double turn or succession of more than two turns, the first on the left.

Dangerous turn.
Double turn or succession of more than two turns, the first on the right.

Dangerous descent.

Steep climb.

Narrowing of the roadway to the left and right.   

Narrowing of the roadway on the left.

Narrowing of the roadway on the right.

Mobile bridge.

Opens onto a quay or bank.

Blackcurrant or speed bump. This is not a modification of the roadway but a deformation, a roadway which is not flat and which buckles.

  • No speed limit
  • No stopping and parking ban
  • No overtaking ban.

Raised device(s). Also called traffic retarder, (Berlin cushion or plateau).

  • Speed ​​limit 30 km/h
  • Stopping, parking and overtaking are prohibited.

Slippery road.

The additional sign to indicate that the public road may be slippery due to ice or snow.

Projection of gravel.

Rockfalls.

Crosswalk.

Place especially frequented by children.

Crossing for drivers of two-wheeled bicycles and mopeds, or place where these drivers emerge from a cycle path onto the roadway.

Big game crossing.

Cattle crossing.

Works.

Traffic light signals.

Low-altitude aircraft flying over.

Lateral wind.

Traffic permitted in both directions after a one-way section of roadway.

This sign is placed in the immediate vicinity of the danger and not 150 meters away.

Level crossing with barriers.

Level crossing without barriers.

Single track level crossing.

This sign is placed in the immediate vicinity of the danger and not 150 meters away.

Two or more track level crossing.

This sign is placed in the immediate vicinity of the danger and not 150 meters away.

Crossing of the public road by one or more railway lines established on the roadway.

Danger not defined by a special symbol.
An additional sign indicates the nature of the danger.
