IV.Limited-time parking

Chapter 7: Stationary or parked vehicles

Alternate parking

  • Semi-monthly alternating parking is only applicable on roadways and not shoulders.
  • It is applicable from the side where the signals are placed up to the intersection.

The signals:

  • The E5 signal prohibits parking from the 1st to the 15th of the month
  • The E7 signal prohibits parking from the 16th until the end of the month.
  • Please note that not all months have 31 days, so the last day of the month must be taken into account.

The change of sides must take place on the last day of each period (i.e. the 15th of the month or the last day of the month) between 7:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Alternate parking throughout the city

This regulation is applicable on all roadways in the urban area and not on the shoulders.

Parking is authorized on the roadway:

  • From 1st to 15th on the side of odd buildings
  • From the 16th until the end of the month for even buildings

The “Blue Zone”

  • The “Blue Zone” is an area where parking is limited, indicated by this sign.
  • The driver who parks in this zone must use his parking disc on working days between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., unless local regulations indicate otherwise.
  • Saturdays are considered a working day.
  • This regulation also concerns 4-wheel mopeds, motor tricycles and motor quadricycles.
  • Mopeds and 2-wheeled motorcycles are not affected.
  • The holder of a resident card or special card for the disabled will be able to park their vehicle without respecting these regulations.
  • Vehicles parked in front of a garage where the registration number is affixed to the garage door are not required to use the parking disc.

How to use parking disc?

  • The disc must be pointed at the line following the finish time.
  • If you arrive at 12:15 p.m., check in at 12:30 p.m.
  • If you arrive at 12:45 p.m., show up at 1 p.m.
  • It is prohibited to modify the indications on the disc.
  • The vehicle must be moved at the latest when the deadline expires.
